-What is Boudoir photography and why should I do it?
Boudoir photography is intimate photography.  It is special because the goal isn’t the souvenir, it’s the process.  When a person feels bored or restless with themselves or their looks, often time a boudoir session is the best experience. Through the process, it reminds them how daring, attractive, creative and fun they really are…so their appreciation of their looks is renewed and they feel empowered.  At ease in their own surroundings and not at a studio, they are more comfortable with trying a new experience. 
Aphrodite’s Boudoir is not about making you be scandalous or pornographic for a photograph. We don’t do porn.  In fact, you are encouraged to wear anything you feel special in, including shorts and a tee. The most important part is that anyone at any size and at any age can do it.  No diets necessary. I got you with camera techniques and poses. Its about capturing your intimate looks in a classy way; for YOU. You decide if you want to share, gift or show off your images. -I have never done this before. Will you help me prepare for my shoot?
I will guide you through everything from picking the best outfits, posing and achieving your best look. I will send you a PDF with all the information you need for a successful shoot,  and during the session I will guide you every step of the way.

- How far in advance do I need to book my shoot?
I recommend that you book your shoot 6-8 weeks before you need your pictures.  If you need it sooner I will try to accommodate you and do rush service.  If you prepay in full your products 2 weeks before you will get 20% discount.

- Will you post my pictures online?
I would only use your pictures online or for marketing and advertising with your signed consent. If you do consent, I will offer you $100 gift card towards a future purchase.

 

- What if I am older and not my ideal weight?
I have photographed women from their early twenties to their late seventies…Did you see my mom!? I have photographed women of all sizes and shapes. When I look at you through my lens I believe I can capture your inner and outer beauty no matter what your stage in life. My goal is that when you are in front of my camera you will feel how beautiful you really are.

- I have or bad skin, cellulite, and stretch marks.  Can you fix that?
Yes. Removal of cellulite, acne and stretch marks are part of the retouching process and included in your purchase. We don't reshape or make people's body parts any other shape than normal.
- Where does the photography session take place?
I come to you to make sure you are in your most comfortable space.  Best if its your home but its not unusual to do a boudoir photo shoot in your hotel room, AirBNB, or friend’s or family’s place. The point is to make sure you feel at ease; pampered and relaxed at your fun photo shoot. We can discuss home furnishings I have to freshen up your space and really feel happy.

- Can I meet you before my shoot?
Yes, of course. I can either come to you for a personal consultation or we can do it by Zoom.

- Can my husband, boyfriend or friend be at the shoot or viewing appointment?
Unless it is a couple’s photo shoot or a girlfriend’s session, I prefer no companions due to mood change.  I have found that even the most supportive companion often sets a nervous and judgmental tone that prohibits your best images. You want to feel free, happy and sensual, not nervous, judged or inhibited. Why not meet afterwards to go out as you will still be glammed up afterwards and feeling pretty pumped up?

- Do you provide outfits? Or do I bring my own?
Both. During our creative consultation we will discuss vision, setting and wardrobe and take note of your color and outfit size preferences.  Please have at least 4-6 different outfits, sexy heels and several nice panties especially nude “seamless” (laser cut) panties. (These come in handy when you want the illusion of being bare and under other outfits.) The more you have prepped, the better I will be able to help you decide what to wear. You have access to Aphrodite’s Boudoir wardrobe with your session. Sizes range from 0-6x and you can rest assured all items have been laundered and disinfected prior to your use. We also have new items specifically for sale in case you crave something else.
 

- I have never done this before and know nothing about posing or how to take a good photograph.
Don't worry, I will guide you through the entire process.  That is what I am trained to do: all you need to do is relax and have fun.

- How long does the shoot take?
Plan to spend around ½ hour for hair and makeup, ½ hour for setup and wardrobe consulting, 1 hour for photo shoot and ½ hour for us to retrieve our items to leave; approx. 2½  hours for the session unless your booking is a mini photoshoot at our location with half hour shoot session.  The Private Image Reveal Session is booked for 90mins on Zoom or in person.

- What is the cost and what does it include?
The creative session fee starts at $499. It essentially covers holding your date only for you, luxury makeup and makeup artist, my preparation, meetings with you, equipment maintenance, insurance, props, wardrobe, backdrops and basic retouching and creative photo manipulation if choosing fantasy shoot.

Image collections start at $1,300.
Due to the type of product, no refunds or returns are available after purchasing your portraits.

- What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?
Due to the nature of missed opportunities to book another’s session when you schedule a session, there are no refunds.  In-case of emergency a photo session cancelled 7 days prior to your scheduled session date will be eligible for the session rebooking without charge; no refund.  If a photo session is cancelled less than 7 days before the scheduled date, a rescheduling  booking fee is required of $200.
The session appointment fee will be retained to recover the wage loss of the appointment session and the cost of the makeup/hair stylist. If a client cancels their appointment last minute, it would be too late to book another client on short notice as preparations are needed.
